Late fall weddings at David’s Country Inn always have a completely different energy to them. Once the leaves disappear and the temperatures drop, the entire venue starts to feel even more intimate. The warm lighting inside the historic inn, the dark wood tones, and the glow from the reception space all create this cozy atmosphere that feels less like a wedding venue and more like a giant family gathering. Sam & Gianna leaned into that feeling perfectly with a beautiful indoor ceremony surrounded by the people who love them most.
One of the most emotional parts of the day came during their first looks with their dads. There are moments at weddings where you can physically feel the energy shift in a room, and this was absolutely one of them. No big theatrics. No over-the-top production. Just two incredibly genuine moments between parents and daughters before everything officially began. The kind of moments that remind you why photos matter in the first place.
Even though it was chilly outside, Sam & Gianna were completely down to brave the cold for portraits during golden hour, and we’re so glad they did. Late fall light hits differently at David’s Country Inn. The sun sits lower, the light turns softer and warmer, and the entire property starts glowing for a few short minutes before sunset. We wandered through many of the venue’s most iconic photo spots, including the ivy wall, the antique bar, and of course the famous phone booth that guests always gravitate toward throughout the night.
More than anything though, this wedding just felt incredibly heartfelt from start to finish. Sam & Gianna created a day that felt warm, welcoming, emotional, and completely centered around the people closest to them. No unnecessary fluff. No pressure to perform. Just a really beautiful celebration filled with laughter, tears, hugs, and a dance floor that somehow kept everybody warm despite the November weather outside.
