Courtney & Saxon’s June wedding at Indian Trail Club was one of those wedding days that immediately felt fun from the second we arrived. The weather was peak early summer in New Jersey: sunny, warm, and just hot enough that somebody eventually decided the only reasonable solution during groom prep was to jump into the lake. Naturally, Saxon fully committed to the bit…including a leopard print speedo that somehow became one of the unexpected stars of the day.
What we loved most about their wedding was how relaxed and genuinely joyful everything felt. There was no pressure to perform or create some overly polished version of the day. Their friends and family were clearly there to celebrate hard, laugh hard, and make memories together. Even their dog got in on the action, which automatically makes any wedding at least 37% better.
Indian Trail Club is already such a gorgeous setting for a summer wedding, especially when the lake is sparkling and the light starts turning golden later in the evening. Between the waterfront views, warm summer air, and nonstop energy from their guests, the entire day felt like the kind of wedding people talk about all summer long afterward.
And then there was the dance floor.
To say it was “high energy” would be underselling it a bit. The second the music started, the entire room exploded. Saxon especially came alive out there, pulling out dance moves that honestly looked rehearsed enough to make us suspicious. By the end of the night, everyone was sweaty, exhausted, and grinning ear to ear, which is usually a pretty good sign that the wedding was a success.
