On a September Sunday, Laurie and Lew gathered guests for a magical moment at Orama on the Hudson River, with the Manhattan skyline as the backdrop. Laurie’s favorite color, blue, was in abundance, from the lace bridesmaids’ dresses and the groom’s tux to the hydrangeas and thistle. Wearing an all-lace Pronovias gown made in Spain — found at the very last minute on her birthday — Laurie found her groom under the chuppah held by family and friends. The rabbi took everyone on a romantic journey tracing their relationship from first meeting to first kiss as husband and wife. Dancing was a leitmotif of the ceremony and the day, as Lew is a seasoned dancer. He swept Laurie into an alluring tango that brought her Pronovias lace to life with flourishes followed by swooshing through a swing. Guests were blown away! The toasts were both heartfelt and humorous, including a few clever hashtags for the special occasion.
