Michelle & Will’s wedding day at Perona Farms began the way all wedding mornings should: with an absolutely aggressive breakfast spread. We’re talking enough food to make everyone temporarily forget they still had an entire wedding day with an abundance of food ahead of them. But once the day officially got rolling, the emotions came fast. There were heartfelt first looks with parents, an emotional first look between Michelle and Will themselves, and private vows that somehow managed to make a busy wedding venue feel completely still for a few minutes.
Even though rain eventually rolled through later in the day, we still managed to sneak outside for portraits between weather windows, and honestly, some of our favorite images happen on days like this. The overcast skies soften everything, the grounds feel quieter, and couples tend to lean into each other a little more instead of worrying about perfection. That energy carried throughout the entire wedding. Emotional when it needed to be, but never overly serious. Stylish without feeling stiff. The kind of wedding where people were genuinely present instead of performing for Instagram all day.
The reception itself was absolute chaos in the best possible way. Metro Photobooth brought out one of their camper photo booths, which became a massive hit throughout the night, and the dance floor basically turned into a full-blown concert once “HOT TO GO” came on. Somehow every single guest instantly knew the choreography except for us, who stood there like someone’s confused uncles trying to decode what was happening in real time. Add in lots of dramatic finger-pointing-to-the-sky dance moves, a sparkler exit that required several takes because coordinating humans with fire is apparently difficult, and a packed dance floor from start to finish, and you get a wedding day that felt wildly alive from beginning to end.
